Back in November, when I was in California and still comfortable in a t-shirt, Nordegg was experiencing some -30 and below temperatures and -10 was still unimaginable to me.
There is no other way to describe the Canadian winter but cold, long and hard. 5 months later, spring is only just beginning to arrive. In february and march the constant cold stripped me of most of my motivation and joy. Programming was challenging and a lot of movies were watched on days off.
Hope for warmer temperatures was somewhat restored after a mid march trip to Kamloops BC with Jonny where it was 10°C, the sunshine had warmth, as did the hospitality of friends, Dan and Anne, and we ate much delicious food.
Having said that, the Alberta spring is fickle and its taking it time warming up. Temps continue to hover just above 0 and right now its snowing.....
