It seems that leaving Frontier has given me time.
- time to sit and read a book for a good chunk of time
- time to knit. at the moment its socks
- time to look at knitting patterns and confirm my suspicion that there are some things that should never be knitted and then worn....
- time to sleep
- time to dream of sewing, of kitchens and things to be made in one, gardens and vegetables
- time to listen and try to understand what is being talked about
- and time to sit on the couch and talk and laugh- the best of all.
Also, German cold is colder than Canadian cold- so +2 here feels like -10 or colder in Canada. So inside activities are the go. Oh well it doesn't winter last for half the year in Germany.
It snowed last night and today. a couple of centimetres of wet slush. People got excited. I saw my first 'suburban' snow plough.
And who knew, I go half way around the world, only to find a friend living 20 minutes up the train line. We went to the Heidelberg Christmas Market together.
